A circular commemorative medal or badge for the Danske Frihedskæmpere (Danish Freedom Fighters). The red-enameled field features three lions passant in the center, surrounded by the inscription 'DANSKE FRIHEDSKÆMPERE' and the date '5 MAJ 1945'. This piece commemorates the liberation of Denmark from German occupation at the end of World War II. It is constructed from base metal with embossed lettering and central heraldic motifs.
